hab lock

i have a swift voyager 2011 just moved it up the drive door worked fine then stoped and the hab door won,t unlock and there doesnt seem to be any way of stripping it down to find the fault tried locking and un-locking tried the key but the button is all the way in and doesn,t want to move any surgestions.

Hi John - Not sure about your model, but most have "push-pit rivets" around the edge perimeter (look like plastic screw caps with a small circular pin at the middle) Firstly release the internal door lock cover.Pushing the pin through with a soft drift will usually send them into the door insulation for retrieval later, although some may fall. The plastic caps will then be loose to extract. Once the "push-pins are all removed the inner door skin will be held in-place with Velcro & may need some wriggling about

With the inner skin removed should expose the door lock mechanism to see what has come apart & enable the "pins" to be retrieved. When the inner skin is replaced line up & insert all the push-pin caps & then reinsert the pins. Any push-pins lost, can be replaced with plastic rod cut to length.

managed to prise the door panel away to get a hook in and get the door to open stripped door panel off turns out to be one of the screws on the door lock that came loose screwed up works fine so took out and put locktite on it and works every time
