Hi, ask if you can have a Certificate Of Conformity if you propose to use them abroad..the vendor will know what that is, and if he doesnt know , look elsewhere.

also, it is wise to seek third party insurance cover, similar in principle to car insurance, and stories circulate that spain in particilar demand insurance cover or expensive fines are extracted.

dont forget the extra payload, each bike will be around 20 kilo with batteries, even if they claim 15kg.

we have two prorider wayfarer bikes, bought before we found out about COC and prorider only say that they are ok for uk use, but you should check with spanish authorities yourself.. they dont provide a COC.

Suggested solution in spain is to remove batteries, and do it the hard way..thanks!!!!!!!.

If you enjoy cycling try some crank drive powered e bikes, powered by Bosch/Panasonic or Yamaha systems. all are EN15194 compliant, nice to ride, particularity when hill climbing, totally legal to use Europe wide, with no insurance issues! As complaint e bikes classed the same as a normal bike 8-)

Never been in but have driven past Whizz bikes frequently. They have been there a number of years which should be a good sign. Initially a ski shop they branched out into ebikes of various makes about five years ago.
