Royal’ Baby Coverage Crosses The Line Of Insanity...again

there are few sights more ludicrous and pathetic than the mainstream media arse-licking the system while claiming to be ‘independent journalists’.

How can anyone involved in this sickening display of unbridled sycophancy for the family of the head of state and the ‘future monarchs’ (father and son) ever claim to be capable of challenging and exposing the system that the royal family heads and personifies?

So you won't be down in London, breathlessly waiting for the name to be announced then Peter ?

Actually I did once find myself in a situation like that. I was cycling through Edinburgh, the traffic was gridlocked. I stopped to try and see why and was kettled into a corner behind railings near Holyrood with about 20 others, although the rest of the square was empty. Turned out it was all because of a visit by Charlie or Philip, I can't remember which, and kettling us into a corner must have made the pictures look like we were part of a large crowd that had turned out to see him. *-)

What do you expect, from someone living in Scotland?

I expect loyalty to the crown from those Scotlander people ... Us English gave them everything ( apart from Celtic FC )

They come down here into paradise chucking toilet waste into public bins and stuff and constantly moan about our great royal family ... What they got ? A mad woman out of The Krankies running ( should that be ruining ) the place ... Bonkers

Can anyone else see the hilariousness of David Icke telling us that something crosses the line of insanity?

This is the madman who thinks that the world is run by shape-shifting extra-terrestrial green lizards.

You really couldn't make it up! :D The next thing we'll be expected to believe is that motorhomers cr*p in builders' buckets and dump the contents into waste bins. Honestly, what next? *-)

a mothers proudest day.

as it was for the other 10,000 mothers who gave birth on the same day. What is really so special about that one?

Oh well, if you really can't work that out, I see no point of carrying on? Here's a clue, if we had a young wife of a US president and she became pregnant, do you think that the world's media would ignore it?

Do try to think beyond your blinkered hatred of our wonderful royal family, there's a good chap. But I'll leave you to it as you seem incapable of understanding what for everyone else is bleeding obvious. *-)

William is not king yet. Do you mean the son of the US President?

The obvious difference is the President has been elected by the people. People may not make the best choice of President, but its their choice, and every few years they get another choice He is not forced on to them whether they want him or not, together with all his hangers on, and then his descendants, and his descendants hangers on, whatever they turn out to be like, for evermore.

Everyone gets a vote - not just those who want him, whilst those who just want everyone to have a vote are derided and abused, called unpatriotic, miserable people, etc etc

LOL I called you a lot worse than a Miserable "person" but the forum auto correct came into play.

You know, I might even spend some of my winnings on a toast to our beautiful new Princess and the rest of her lovely family. Cheers Peter.

I try not to judge people on their appearance - lets be honest about it Hitler was better looking than Churchill. But if thats your vote thats fine and nobody is trying to deny you your vote. All we ask is that you don't deny us our vote. :-)

I kinda get the impression Peter James is a Republican. While i probably share some of his sentiments, I do not think I would have broadcast them on this Forum. The words 'red rage to bull' spring to mind.

Of course in the privacy of my own living room I have been known to shout all sorts of abuse at the TV when I see the prat from the Beeb, grovelling and toadying outside some castle or wherever. But the only one who tells me to shut up is my dear wife, which I do.

I know many people enjoy the Monarchy, but that also many people feel it is an anachronism in the current world. It is also disappointing that we never ever seem to be allowed an opportunity to actually vote whether we want to keep it, or not. Unless of course we do a Cromwell.

As for the birth, well we in our own family have just had a new grandaughter, and a new great grandson, so I know where my priorities lie. As me and Katy are never likely to come into contact, it is really not something I am going to lose sleep over.

Plus, just to throw a stone into the pond so to speak, as we seem to have made our own 'Queen Nicola' up here, maybe Peter will get his wish.

I personally wouldn't trust the public to vote for a president.

We'd probably get Clarkson.

;-)

If so we would get the chance to remove him after 5 years. We wouldn't be stuck with him, plus his hangers on, then his descendants etc etc

we just get bored of it being preached at every opportunity and your opinions on the subject are often offensive (to some people).

So what do you think its like for us having the Royal Wedding /Baby /Whatever rammed down our throats whenever we turn the telly on?

One thing is for certain, pop out of the right womb and the bedroom tax is never going to be an issue,

it's also true to say you get no choice out of which womb you pop out of. :D

I will always remember what my daughter - she was 6 years old at the time - said when Princess Diana died (or was murdered/assassinated to appease the nutters). She said - "it's very sad about Princess Diana, but why have they cancelled all my telly programmes?"

Mind you, that's the same girl whose response to her cat dying - after I'd plucked up the courage to tell her - was, "oh dear, can I get another one?"

She works in finance now. 8-)
