truma s 3022 heater

Recommended Posts

Do you mean the Truma 3002 heater ? Are you replacing the top plastic panel ?

If so it is easy. You have to remove the font of the heater casing by easing the top forwards and at the top rear there are two wire 'springs' that have to be lifted up with your fingers and that will release the panel. However before you start you have to remove the plastic knob on the electric side first, if you have one, by pulling the knob upwards. You might also have a green igniter cable to remove too - this is on a spade connector so simple The top plastic panel is held on by two screws - one each side, accessed from below so remove these to replace the top panel then re-assemble everything - don't forget the igniter lead.

When it comes to putting the front panel on again you locate the bottom part of the casing in the two lugs either side. Make sure the gas valve rod goes through the hole in the top panel. Then the difficult bit - you may be lucky and when you push the top of the panel back in, the spring clips might just snap into position. However if the springs are strong what I have done is to use 2 lengths of thin cable and to hook them under the springs to hold them up and then push the front panel back and when fully home release the pressure on the springs you are holding up. All you have to do is then pull the cable out from either side.

Hope you can follow this.
