webbocj
a few weeks ago we took the m/h to Wood Nook at Grassington for its test run after the winter rest. As usual plugged in, kettle on for cup of tea - NO elec. tried all i could, nothing. Calira charger comes to mind (read a number on the Knaus owners website and maybe on here) A diet of chips and fish washed down with the finest Yorkshire beer wasn't such a struggle. Back home i ventured under wardrobe to examine the charger, a 15amp fuse in one of the units had gone, replaced, plugged in, job done. Arrived in France last monday, first site plugged in, no elec, fused siye box so had to manage without. Not good news for the start of a six week hol. Called at Calais camping, plugged into mains, power supply ok. Must have tweeked the correct wire! On to Luxembourg, plugged in, no power, fused site box. Called at a local camping dealer who checked our plug in cables, ok but when i mentioned my concern about the charger he suddenly agreed although he wasn't interested in doing the even for an estimated cost of 1000eu. Panic, go home or what, phone allan at Atlantic m/h services, a number i had kept from previous reports. He said it could not be the charger but i had to check each indivdual electrical item seperately. Yes you have got it, KETTLE. Never banged, nor burning smell, just a direct short. A new low wattage kettle is reqd. And we can continue to perhaps Croatia.JUST one thing is perhaps wrong, on this unit adjacent to the Calira charger are two very sall switches, one red, one green, they are two positional and i have moed them and do not know if they are correct. All things work BUT. Obviously a Knaus owner could find out but also anyone with Calira system.Eddie, do you think i' m even safe with an "electric bike" Chris
