Tesseo 490
The rubber sealing disc has come off the rotating arm on the c250 cassette. Can it be repaired and if so how?
Keithl
Well IMO the quickest, cleanest and most foolproof method would be to buy a new cassette. http://www.thecaravanshop.co.uk/toilets-chemicals/cassette-fresh-up-kits/thetford-c250/c260-toilet-fresh-up-kit/prod_1066.html Obviously not the cheapest but definitely the easiest! PS Check prices as I'm sure I've seen cheaper elsewhere. Keith.

Thetford toilets can be dismantled and repaired, sometimes there are a lot of bits to remove to get there but all the spares are available and it just takes a bit of care and time. All the exploded diagrams are here http://www.leisureshopdirect.com/caravan/water/thetford_cassette_toilets.aspx?pdf=13113&pdf_page_id=4&dpn_id=-1&sch=1 H
Derek Uzzell
There’s a comprehensive Thetford toilet repair-instructions file here http://www.rosefacchini.co.uk/upload/Sanitation%20Repair%20instructions.pdf It’s straightforward to remove a C250 cassette’s complete valve-mechanism. It should then be easy enough to establish if the sealing disc can simply be replaced on its mount or if something has broken. This link http://www.bradtech.ltd.uk/products/Thetford_Cassette_C250_Holding_Tank_Spares.html also carries repair instructions and may help with the decision whether to attempt a repair or to replace the complete cassette.
