capstan55
Hi Folks, we have solar panels fitted to our new Chausson 610. How do other folks get power to the tv when off HU. I presume through a 12 volt socket of which there is one near the mains plug for the telly. Does anyone know where I can get a 12 volt lead to plug in to the 12 volt socket to the tv? Billggski
What type TV? You can buy multi output leads from Maplin. But you need to be sure your 12v sockets are live when the ignition is off. I had to wire one directly, with a fuse, from my habitation battery.

capstan55
Thanks guys, will go into maplins this week and get one from them. I am assuming the 12 volt outlet is on when ignition off as it is next to the 240 v socket for tv, but time will tell.
tonyishuk
A word of caution. Some 12V TVs only operate on 12V supplied via 240v to 12v adaptor which is stabilised. These TVs need a 12v to 12v stablised suppy. The alternator on a m/home can supply upto 14v (or more ?) and can cook the electronics of a TV. TVs such as Avtex have voltage stabilisers built into their TVs Might be of interest ; https://www.roadpro.co.uk/retail/12v24v-electronics/plugs-cables-connectors-and-accessories/voltage-regulators-for-tvs/21mm-12v-regulated-power-supply-400.htm Rgds
