LordThornber
Hello, has anyone used this facility recently or at this time of year in the past? We're going to use it soon and wondered how busy it is (was), I understand that you can use the coach park as an overspill if the p and r is full - according to Canterbury councils website. Thanks in advance Martyn
bounty hunter
We used it in early March for first time and found it almost impossible to level our 8.5m van. There were 2 bays which looked level but you were surrounded by entrance on one side, exit on other side and on 3rd side you had entrance to car parking area. The bus into Canterbury was excellent, as was the £3 cost. When we returned last week we used a CL 6 miles outside Canterbury which cost £5. Hope this helps. vindiboy
http://s358.photobucket.com/user/vindiboy1/library/Canterbury%20P%20n%20R We are frequent Canterbury PnR users, never had a problem getting a space, plenty level enough for us ?? the council have stated that in busy periods they will open the barriers and permit Motorhomes into the main PnR area to overnight at the same cost super facility methinks. LordThornber
Just for information. Excellent overnight place, we were pitched (parked) near the water and drain, so facing you as you enter the parking. Definitely not level for us but that's why we carry ramps 8-) No criticism but how odd the motorhome parking is not flat but the car park is 8-) Martyn
