Thetford fridge working ok but freezing up

Hi All

Our Thetford fridge has a digital display so you can choose battery, electric or gas and that is fine.

It also has a display for the temperature which shows 1,2,3 and 4 bars.

On electric or gas it freezes the food in the fridge as well as the milk, no matter which bar is selected? (doesn't freeze beer as it isn't in there long enough)

It seems as though there is now no temperature control.

Any ideas anyone, before I have to take it to an extortionate dealer who will charge me a fortune to "put it on test"
