Brian_K
Hi, Has anyone fitted a solar panel to the roof of an Elddis Accordo? (not a lot of room) I haven’t got the ladders out yet to measure the space, but looking at the habitation door and using it as a gauge, it looks like the area above it would be around 50cm wide and 100cm long. Do such panels exist and if so what wattage? http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c24/argoncorp/Roof_zpsq7plww3r.jpg Brian
lynneroy
We have just had 2 panels fitted as we have a vent from the microwave in the way, so could not have one large one fitted, add up to 80 watt with a split charger. If you don't have a microwave fitted pretty sure you could fit the 85 watt panel fitted. Lynne
Brian_K
Thanks Lynne, Actually, late this afternoon, I had the opportunity of trying the Vision Plus solar panels on the roof of the Accordo. Like you I have a microwave fitted, so it was a case of shuffling them around, however the fitter at the dealers was happy he could get three on comfortably (40w each). So I’ve booked it in for next month to have them installed. http://www.visionplus.co.uk/assets/pdfs/solar/solar_brochure.pdf Possibly not the cheapest option, but with the split charger included it solves a problem. They are also fitting a 2nd Yuasa 100Ah battery (which I am supplying) so all in all I am happy. Brian
