StuartO
I doesn't make long for the scammers to try a new opportunity. A nice polite email tells you that a direct debit has been taken to renew the tax on your vehicle, giving a registration number you won't recognise because it's not yours and probably not anybody's. There an invitation to click on a plausible-looking link - which will presumably get you into trouble of some sort if you click on it, either by asking you to "confirm" your bank details away for a refund or your computer will get infected with a virus. I got two of them (which helps to make it obvious it's a scam) probably because my email address has been getting around for a while. That made it easier to spot as a scam of course.
