Plan is ferry from Hirtshalls to Larvik then travel north to Narvik and then who knows from there!! I have downloaded the free app from http://www.visitnorway.com/uk/vn/search/?querystring=northern%20lights%20app&configuration=multi&offset=0&sortby=relevance¶m=searchview%2Cvnbritish&hits=10 which gives alerts but still need to sort out which phone company we will use, Vodafone at £3 per day or get a local sim card. Returning south via Sweden and over bridges into Denmark and then home. Estimated travelling costs only are £2500 but if you want to fly a 5 day, 4 night trip will set you back about £1100 each and you are not guaranteed to see the Lights.
