We like sailing on the Portsmouth to Bilbao/Santander route to Spain, it's virtually hassle free as long as the Bay is reasonably calm. Up to now we have only had one rough crossing where the plates etc were sent flying across the café floor. You would have thought that the crew would have secured them somehow. This year the temperatures down on the south coast were in the very high 30's, even travelling up via Madrid it never went below 39 degrees and stopping off for the Fiesta in Burgos it never dropped below 35 during the day.
