duncanl
Hello, Due to travel out on Thursday and would appreciate some help on Eurotunnel's gas cylinder policy. I have two Gaslow 12kg bottles fitted so I am well under the maximum load but what is troubling me is the 80% full stipulation as per the page below: http://www.eurotunnel.com/uk/site-information/lpg/ Is this strictly enforced ? Thanks

Billggski
They will just check that the bottles are turned off.
Derek Uzzell
It’s evident from past inquiries on motorhome forums about how Eurotunnel views user-refillable gas bottles (eg. Gaslow canisters) that the company categorises them as “Portable gas containers (cylinders/bottles, etc.)”, not as “Fixed gas containers (tanks, etc.)” Consequently the stipulations relating to the latter type of gas container - as stated on the Eurotunnel link duncanl provided - that "Each container must be no more than 80% full” (and that the container must have a gauge or remote indicator to prove this) will not be applied to user-refillable bottles. As Billggski has advised, all that will be checked with ‘Gaslow-type’ containers is that the bottles are turned off.
