Lizzie
Is there a particular time when there are more used motorhomes on the market? We are looking to buy before the spring and just wondered if people tend to put them on the market after the summer for example. We cant find what we are looking for at the moment so hoping there will be more choice later.

flyboyprowler
If you can find a "disadvantage" sale, then prices should be better. Try and decide which model you want, or a short list, and go to buy, with a price in mind, and cash in hand. (lol)
flicka
Hi Lizzie, if looking to buy from a dealer wait until their "end of season" sales for new & demonstrator models have finished. That is (IMO) when their Used stock is at the highest level & entering the period when attention switches to sales of "next season's" models & they want to convert stock into cash to see them over the low season. Some may say wait until March / May period when "new season" models start to be delivered & Used models come in for Px. But this is also the dealers high season for sales. Brock
The Lincoln Show in September has a good selection of second hand vans for sale, end of season new vans, and a few glimpses of next year's models. I would assume that dealers try to get their stock down for the end of season so choice between September and March could be limited with some bargains to be had. March is when the dealers start stocking up on new vans and so will be taking in part exchanges. People buying the new models will also be trying to sell their current van. Brian Kirby
Between the end of the summer holidays and Easter, for all the reasons stated above, plus the dealers need to shift their existing stock in the spring to make forecourt space for the new season's models being delivered by manufacturers. But, if you are looking for something specific that is not commonly available, I'd be more inclined to target that at any time you find it, as you have no guarantee when another will come along - at whatever price. Bit like buses! :-D
Billggski
With the new model Fiat x290 cab just coming out, a number of dealers have new MH's with the old x250 cab that they are discounting at the moment.
flyboyprowler
The Le Bourget Paris show from the 26th September to the 4th August had a lot of used vans of all descriptions in a special parking area. The owners pay to reserve a place, and stay, generally for the duration of the show.
