Don Madge
It seems the last time this was posted it disappeared into cyber space ??? Lets hope it has better luck this time. Details here http://tinyurl.com/yyhhuu For Jack, Bury St Edmunds is in Suffolk my wife's home town. It is now even easier for motorhome owners to enjoy the sights and sounds of Bury St Edmunds after specialist parking spaces were created in the heart of the historic market town. St Edmundsbury Borough Council has created five spaces in the Ram Meadow car park which are entirely dedicated for motorhome use. The spaces, which are extra wide and long, have been specially marked out and are only a short walk from the town's main tourist attractions, including Moyse's Hall Museum, the award-winning Abbey Gardens and the newly completed tower of St Edmundsbury Cathedral. An all day stay is charged at £1.20, there are no height restrictions at the site and public toilets lie close-by Don
maninahat
"all day" So is this somewhere to stop overnight or just a motorhome-friendly carpark? Well done BSE either way, but overnight would be good - might come up for a bit of Chridtmas shopping.
Go Motorhoming
I can confirm that the council are allowing overnight parking, it did not say on the press release so I phoned and checked. Go Motorhoming

empress
Thanks for this news, Don. We live not a million miles from Bury so this could be useful for meeting friends. Empress

Roy
In this month's MMM (P.109 MCC) there is reference to 'aires' at Broughshane,Oban and Nantwich. Does anybody have details of these please?Roy.
Guest starspirit
Roy, I too could not find info on these Aires so I've emailed the MCC to ask for details and how to access via their website which is currently in the middle of being totally revamped. I'll let you know what they say in due course.
