Caddies104
Hi We use the Michelin map in France, has plastic coated pages so can draw on them and then wipe clean. Not sure if they do the same with Italy.
Colin17
From Annecy to Italy assuming you don't want expensive tunnels you have 2 main choices. 1. Petit St Bernard pass from Bourg St Maurice to Aosta valley. 2. Col du Mont Cenis at the top of the Maurienne valley to Suse and then Turin. We did 1 a month ago, good generally wide road both sides. As it is more direct I would go for this. 2 I haven't done for a long time but don't remember it as difficult. Either will be fine.

laimeduck
Mont Cenis is easy - did it 5 weeks ago the other way. Annecy, Albertville, Aigbelle, St Jean de Maurienne, Modane then Mont Cenis (about 105 miles) into Italy then Susa then Turin then on up towards Milan then Como. (about 155 miles) In France use the N roads & D roads (can use the autoroutes but they are not cheap!) but in Italy it's got to be the Autostrada (the S roads are really slow) Even Elephants can do Mont Cenis!
