Steve928
Is that the Peugeot/Indenor XD3 engine?

aandncaravan
I assume this is a Peugeot/Talbot base using the engine that first debuted in the Citroen CX 2500? With a Turbo or without?
aandncaravan
If it is the engine I think from the Peugeot/Talbot then your best source might be DAF 300 ( I think from 1983 to about 1986?) and the LDV 400 to about 1992 after which the Peugeot XD was replaced with a Ford DI 2500 engine which is completely different. Some of the Sherpas and early 300's also had the 2304cc Peugeot motor which is similar but generally a non turbo. There is one on ebay which I think is a match for yours, but guessing without more info, at £275 : http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/REDUCED-LDV-convoy-400-2-5-diesel-1979-engine-/252049662646?hash=item3aaf54a2b6 I am 80% sure it is an 1989 engine not the 1979 it says in the advert, as the 400 was not launched until 1989. Either that or it is an earlier 2304cc from 1979 LDV?. If it is a Transit based Motorhome using the York 2500DI then also one on eBay : http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FORD-TRANSIT-LDV-ENGINE-GEARBOX-2-5-DIESEL-1990-TO-1999-SHAPE-COLLECTION-ONLY-/321822233038?hash=item4aee1991ce No idea of the condition, but we can rebuild both if you require. We are specialists in the early Indenor XD85, XDP 88, XDP 90, etc Diesel engines as they are fitted in the Citroen H vans we restore. See : http://www.atlanticmotorhomeservices.co.uk/citroen-hy-diesel-engines.php Our Technician engine builder has also worked on many Ford Transit 2.5DI engines and is a wiz on the Ford Transit Pinto engine.
