capnjaj
How is the weather in Brittany in late Seprember, will I find plenty of places to stay for a couple of nights at a time?
sheer lunar-see
Plenty of places to stay, if you mean Aires, if you are after campsites it can be o.k around the coast. Best weather will probably be around the golf du morbihan, but you could get lucky if the jet stream, which is right above us at the moment, moves away. At this moment in time it is raining, and has been for the last three days, up till about 3 or 4o'clock in the afternoon, we are fed up with it and will be heading south for a week or two in a couple of days time, but we have to be back home at the end of september as we are dog and horse sitting for friends. Bon chance mon ami !!!!!
rupert123
It has rained in Brittany every time we have been near the place, worse than Cornwall.
PJay
You need to do your homework on sites in France , end of September as some close . Aires may be Ok, but can get full up. Weather similar to South Coast UK, PJay
capnjaj
Thanks to Sheer-lunacy and Stalwart for their contribution. I'll check the weather and if it is still raining we'll head further south. :-S
Vixter
We live in Brittany, department 56. We have had many glorious days this summer, had to water the garden daily for most of June and July. So, now it is raining? Well, it is raining where we are currently on holiday too, in San Sebastian. In the village where we live is Camping Merlin l'enchanteur. A pleasant site with indoor heated swimming pool, lovely walks, nice village with everything in easy walking distance. Open all year round. It is in Loyat, near Ploermel. We certainly don't get weather like Cornwall!!
capnjaj
Instead of going to Brittany we went to visit friends in Le Mans, weather beautiful. After that the weather seemed to break every where in France, according to Meteo France. We survived the rain in La Rochelle and washed out in Lacanau Ocean, Grand Pins. So nothing changes, you have to take your chances.
