terry1956 Posted September 12, 2015 Share Posted September 12, 2015 Hi all. Two weeks ago, I started to get the airbag warning light on, along with a flashing milometer. So it was into my local fiat dealer. A week later, they rang to say they have found the fault and mended it. The fault was in the wiring loom, with a cable tie rubbing into the wiring and leading to a short in the system.so if your Air bag light starts coming on, have a look at the wiring just to the left of the clutch petal.also if you own a newer ducato based van, look out for a recall on this issue.michael Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The Fiat dealer checked it out and spoke to Fiat who say it needs a new instrument cluster. After 5 weeks, one has just turned up and will hopefully be fitted next week. terry1956 Posted September 13, 2015 Author Share Posted September 13, 2015 Hi.when I was at the fiat dealers, a 2014 motorhome was having a new dashboard fitted.speaking to the service manager, he stated it was becoming common due to the poor quality of material being used. It looks Like as electrics get more complex, the materials to make them get cheaper and poorer quality.
