camp_paul
Hey everyone, I've only just got into camping, so I'm trying to get all the help and advice I can! So tell me everyone, what's the worst thing about camping and how do you deal with it? I'll kick things off; I discovered that slugs trying to get into my tent was really quite disgusting; seeing their silhouettes against the canvas felt like I was the star of a 1950's horror film. Perhaps making a nice little 'slug party town' in the centre of a camp site, that's filled with all the things they love like rotting vegetables, beer and for the lonelier ones perhaps slug speed dating! What are your ideas?
Guest Peter James
How to keep flies out of the kitchen? Put a bucket of sh*t in the lounge ;-)
malc d
Used a tent for over 40 years and never saw a slug in, or on one. If it's become a problem lately maybe they are attracted by the current fabrics. If so, get yourself a cotton fabric tent - just like the old days. ;-)
camp_paul
Being new to this, and other people have said the same, I seem to be the only slug victim! Maybe it had something to do with the fact that I pitched the tent next to a strange lump in a field..that might have once been used for manure or something? The plants were completely different to the rest of the field...uh oh!
