Malo37
Just wondering if there is a 'bible' of overnight stops, campsites etc i.e. anywhere you can spend a night in a motorhome in the UK?
mel wood
There never can be one definitive guide. We often use the CCC "Big Sites Book" which has over 500 pages with details of CCC sites, Certificated Sites, commercial and some council run sites. The book is available to purchase (£16) but is free every two years to CCC members. The CC Sites Book covers their club sites, certificated locations and some commercial sites. Some people are members of "Brit Stops" which provides a book listing places to overnight.
pepe63xnotuse
..also the likes of http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/ and searching on Google maps (eg "campsites near.......") can come in handy.
colin
The latest editions of 'Big Sites Book' is just a shadow of it's former self, we keep the last of the old style ones along side the new one.
Norma
We are looking for cl/css type of stopover (or free! if available) near A1 around Durham, North Yorkshire... Easier to ask here than dig the books out of the van! Hubby gave away last years books, whivh I try to keep in the house.
