Keith T
Looking at the new Burstner (see earlier postings) we also see they fit the cab concertina blinds - I am not sure which manufacturer, but they are the sort in a cassette at the side of the front window which then join in the middle. They seem quite flimsy, and also give quite a large blind spot on both sides of the windscreen. Anyone have experience of these as to how well they last in use, and also how good they are at both insulating in winter, and keeping the cab cool in the summer? Clive
You have hit on precisely the two reasons I have not fitted any of this type of blind in our own camper cab (Sprinter). Perhaps a vertical blind that pulls down from the top would be better? Like they fit on coaches?? Anybody got any suggestions? C.

We have had them for the last three years. They are not as flimsy as they look, the later models are a big improvement on the original ones. You will need to be very careful opening and closing them, if your ham fisted forget about them. The new ones pull across the screen where as the original ones pulled up from the bottom. For some privacy we can pull the blind half way up. on the new ones it's open or closed half way looks awful. The blinds on the cab door need even careful use, if you have swivel seats with high backs be careful or you can damage the blind. We will hang on to the old blinds as long as possible but will replace them with the new ones unless we find another make that will pull up. I hope this helps Don
colin
I liked the look of the blinds, on one van I didn't at first realise they where there. As to blind spot, I will be taking a closer look at next chance, if they are well desiged then it shouldn't be to bad, it certainly didn't seem as bad as the blind spots caused by 'normal' pillars used on several of people carriers I have driven, but of cause no exquese for creating one. The burstner's cab side blinds seemed very fiddly, on the Adria Twin they had fitted side curtains, less fiddly but not as neat.
