pyrie
Hi, In a cupboard above the drivers seat there is a strange 12v socket, that is smaller than the traditional UK 12v socket... I've concluded from online searches that this is a hella style 12v - continental size. What can this be used for? TV? or is it simpler to get a standard to hella converter to utilise it? thanks Brian
Robbo
I think it's whats known as a DIN socket. Sometimes the standard cigarette lighter type plug can be stripped down to reveal a DIN plug. Alternatively, visit an auto electrician and purchase the plug. I bought a DIN socket and plug when extending my 12 volt system. It's better than the standard cigarette type plug which always seem to slip out too easily (when you don't want them to).
