You do not say what your 1 in 4 was, on the road or off road, but if on road you will be hard pushed to find a 1 in 4 in euro land. I wonder how many will ride up The 1in4 was in Brittany, as for not finding hills in Euroland I thought you lived in North wales plenty of hills there. This year we spent our main holiday in mainland Greece hard to go anywhere without going up very steep hills 90 % of the mainland is mountainous. All the people I know with e-bikes buy them for one main reason - to get up steep hills. They give us the freedom to go out on 30- 50 mile bike rides and not have to worry about the terrain that is the reason we were prepared to spend a few grand on a couple of decent bikes.
