chello Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 After my last post seeking info on clutch adjustment, I decided to fit a new cable,my local Halfords autocentre in Torquay has tried all their suppliers in vain.Any I deas where I could get one would be helpful,i adjusted the cable and its now fine,I would have expected a locknut on the adjuster,i may put one on.I think the adjuster slackened so gradually over a few years you accept a slight drag as normal.gear changes are so much better now Many thanks
Tracker Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 As far as I recall on the Boxer/Ducato clutch cables I have checked some years ago it is a lock nut that holds the adjustment in place and an exploded diagram of the part should tell you. Have you done a Google search for the specific cable you require? As I recall there used to be a couple of motor factors in the Exeter/Torbay/Plymouth area, have you tried those?
