Guest RonB Posted April 6, 2005 Posted April 6, 2005 I am travelling Rosyth to Zeebrugge with dog in tow. Does anyone know of a Vet in Zeebrugge area to give the dog the necessary treatment 24hours priort to returning to the UK
Guest bb Posted April 10, 2005 Posted April 10, 2005 I have found a good site for locating vets in Europe at http://freespace.virgin.net/passports.forpets There is quite a lot of info on there, just scroll down to the "vets in europe" bit, and there is a fair list of vets offering the treatment under the pet passport scheme. I haven't looked to see if they have one actually in Zeebrugge area, it depends where you will be. We tend to go to France a lot, and use a vet in central France, before travelling back to Calais in the following 24-48 hours. Cost about €35-40
Guest Aileen Posted April 17, 2005 Posted April 17, 2005 Have you heard of a company called 'dogsaway'. I used them last year and they were great and intend using them again this year. They arranged the appointment with the vet for me. They supplied me with the relevant maps and also gave me directions to a car park that was suitable for a motorhome. The vet knew the story so I didn't need to try out my very limited French. I think they charged £25 for the service - well worth it from my point of view. The vet also charged €30 for the treatment - much less than I ever pay at home. Their web site is dogsaway.co.uk Have a good holiday. Aileen
