Petest Posted January 30, 2016 Share Posted January 30, 2016 Hi folks. My 1st post here - be gentle. I have just got a Elddis 100 and am looking at driveaway awnings. I'd like one that can have an inner sleeping area for the older kids. Does anyone else have the same size van and if so can you give an opinion on the make and model of the awnings that you have had or currently have? Jonboymentalhealth Posted January 31, 2016 Share Posted January 31, 2016 I too am having this dilemma I want the Bangor attar 440 tall, but would have to throw over roof and secure as no awning rail and not sure if it would work with rear door. DSPM Posted January 31, 2016 Share Posted January 31, 2016 Hi If it's any help, we used to have a 2008 Compass Aventgarde 100 (same as the Elddis 100), and used an Outdoor Revolution Movelite awning (3m x 3m). This came with an inner sleeping compartment, and was a drive away awning, so we could un hook it when we went out for the day. Initially we used the "throw over and peg the other side" straps, this worked reasonably well, if a little untidy because of the change in roof line for the over cab. We had a Fiamma awning fitted, so eventually bought a figure "8" strip which attached to the Fiamma, keeping things nice and straight.
