PJay Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 Make sure your insurance will cover you, for leaving unattended abroad. You don't say what period you intend. It may depend on whether it was high/low season PJay
Wirralian Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 Insurance companies will not generally cover your motorhome abroad if it is left unattended for more than 36 hours. Every Christmas I fly home for a couple of weeks and leave the van attended by friends on site. I have argued with my insurance company that during this period the van is more secure than on my drive at home. Reading MMM a few months ago I did think that the writer had got her insurer to cover her van whilst parked at Malaga airport for several weeks. But on enquiring futher I found that this was done in exceptional circumstances due to a medical problem. John
Bojitoes Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 Camping Los Gallardos in Los Gallardos near Mojacar, Excellent site and facilities. Many visitors stay 6 months of the year and fly back to the UK every couple of months for a week or so. We were told last week that there is a company which will take customers to either Alicante, (£30) or Murcia (£18). Site is not in any book / directory we have seen but we will definitely go back again for longer than 2 weeks. Bob
