Petest
Please don't go off tangent and start talking about the leisure batteries. I've just picked up our elddis 100 and have been reading a bit on the forum. It seems that the engine battery will discharge over a few weeks. After a quick search, I found this AA charger that connects to the OBD port. Does anyone use one? Seems like a simple solution for a minimal cost. http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B00AC1LLQY/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?qid=1455172700&sr=8-1&pi=SX200_QL40&keywords=aa+solar+battery+charger
paulmold
I used to use one (different make, that plugged into a live cigar lighter or croc clips direct onto battery) from Maplins, same power output. It's OK for the leisure battery which doesn't usually have any continual drain on it, but it's not powerful enough for the engine battery which can have an alarm, radio memory and other drains on it. I used a 4.8w one for the engine battery, also from Maplins. Don't know where you are located but you could have mine for a fiver. (no longer needed as I have solar panel on roof now.
