SteveX
Hi Can anyone advise on connecting a Ring RAC900 compressor pump please? The pump has crocodile clips that connect direct to +/- battery terminals. On my Peugeot Boxer L4H2 (63 plate) there are labelled 'positive metal" and "earth" points under the bonnet' which according to the handbook are for 'starting from another battery'. Can I connect the crocodile clips to these points to power the pump? I'm trying to avoid having to access the battery in the floor of the cab and didn't wont to use the leisure battery if possible. So basically I'm wondering if they will provide a similar live connection as the battery. Hope you guys can help. Many thanks Steve
Robbo
Welcome to the forum Steve. On my Fiat there is a positive 12 volt metal terminal under a plastic cover in the engine compartment. I just connect the RAC900 positive crocodile clip to this and the negative to a convenient place on the engine , like the engine lifting point.
