Recommend a tv signal meter

The sat finder recommended by Ken looks good. Roadpro also sell this product.

Suggest you also purchase push-on F plugs to connect temporarily to the sat finder. It saves having to screw the F connectors onto the sat finder - which can be a bit of a pain.

If using the sat finder between dish and digibox don't forget to power down the digibox and unplug from the mains or 12volt before disconnecting the sat finder. I understand that if you don't do this, you might damage the electronics in the digibox.

If you have a sky digibox there is useful info on http://www.satelliteforcaravans.co.uk

Best of luck :-D

Hi Pete,

I have used a Vision Plus TV Signal Finder Link for several years now with excellent results. It has never let me down in finding a signal. It also comes with an F connector to Co-Ax adapter so works with either plug type.

I also do a spot of planning before we travel and use this website Link to find the compass bearing to the nearest transmitter then an orienteering compass when on site to get an initial direction before using the signal finder.

Keith.

Fringe "Pro TV & Satellite" for us. Don't use the sat function but the TV tuning part gives a visual and audible signal http://www.fringeelectronics.co.uk/signalfinders.html

Also have a couple of "free" apps on our phones and tablets which also give some degree of success and accuracy.

This is one the we have as well, it was recommended by a Friend and is very easy to use.
