Steve Bolton Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 Hi Picking up my new chausson 610 at the end of March Looking for decent insurance companies for newbies Have full NCD on car and no convictions Fifty years of age Cat one alarm being given fitted It does not seem quite as simple as car insurance, but more like pre-internet search Would like to narrow the search down to a few decent companies,as I think I will be spending some time in the phone Thanks
Don636 Posted March 1, 2016 Posted March 1, 2016 I use Comfort and all arranged on line. Which magazine best insurer for last few years and by far the best quote for me.
Don636 Posted March 1, 2016 Posted March 1, 2016 Should have provided some more details for you to check against. My van is a Vantage Neo, new in 2014. Insured for me and wife, both now 60 with no accidents or convictions. Quote for 2014-2015 was £204 and 2015-2016 was £189.
laimeduck Posted March 1, 2016 Posted March 1, 2016 A few names on this thread from a few days ago should get you started! http://forums.outandaboutlive.co.uk/forums/Motorhomes/Motorhome-Matters/33-up/40975/#M488724
Tracker Posted March 1, 2016 Posted March 1, 2016 NCD has to be earned individually by each vehicle so unless you sell your car and switch the NCD to your MH you will need to start from zero. Fortunately many insurers will give you an introductory discount to get you started so it's not all bad news.
