gdf
Hi Although its a couple of years since anything was posted about this issue and it was May 2011 when VOSA gave advice it seems as if some MOT Testers still don't know. Fortunately for me he just issued an advisory and I'll go elsewhere next time BUT the worrying thing is that this was at a centre that advertises that it does Motorhome Servicing and Hab checks! pepe63xnotuse
Hi.. Wasn't there a VOSA leaflet/pdf/letter posted on here at the time?..something that could at least be presented to the tester, explaining that they are assistors, and not just "bump-stops"..? It may be worth a search?... A previous thread ( but I'm not sure it's the one I was thinking of..?) http://forums.outandaboutlive.co.uk/forums/Motorhomes/Motorhome-Matters/Ducato-X250-rear-leaf-springs-MOT-issues/23529/31/
Robinhood
...I've got a downloaded copy of the MOT magazine with the relevant article in it. Whilst it's been moved around a bit, it can still be downloaded from the online archive here: http://tinyurl.com/motbumpstops (page 13)
