sshortcircuit
Get a damp meter and do a thorough check throughout. They are not named "leaky Kontiki " for nothing. I have a 2005 Kontiki 660 and really like it but have spent a lot of time and money using epoxy to seal floors. Be cautious.

Derek Uzzell
Welcome to the Out&AboutLive forums, Mike. It’s probably better to consider the vehicle as a generic 10-year-old motorhome rather than a particular Swift model. Although Swifts of that era may have gained a reputation for damp-related problems that doesn’t automatically mean that every Kon-Tiki will be damp nowadays, but (as sshortcircuit advises from personal experience) it’s something you should ensure is checked very carefully particularly if you are buying privately. There’s a good deal of on-line guidance to help you https://www.google.co.uk/?gws_rd=ssl#q=motorhome+buying+used
sshortcircuit
We have been delighted with the Kontiki, even with its problems. Had thought I would need to change as now over 70 and MH is 3850 kg. Choice is all about what you want and although we have looked round found nothing yet that would suit. If you are new to MH perhaps you should rent one first to se how you get on.
