Does anyone recognise the name of this electric step

Evening all

My Electric step on my 1997 Fiat Ducato AutoRoller 2, works but the step itself is rotten, drilled out the rivets holding the plastic tread part to reveal rotten hardboard underneath. I plan to take it off, service it, the motor etc, rub down the metal parts and sppay with Zinc Galvanising spray, to give some extra protection from the road water etc. Then fit a 12mm base layer of exterior plywood, and then try to get a replacement plastic tread for it or stick a piece of 3mm ribbed rubber mat over the top.

Just wondered if anyone can make out or recognise the name of this electric step from the photo. Looks like Matpa to me lol

Your step is a “MAPA” product

This earlier discussion refers to a problem with a worn gear on a MAPA step

I’m a mite doubtful that MAPA would be in a position noadays to provide a new plastic tread-section for your 1997 step, but you could always ask them.

Thank you very much Derek for your help, very helpful as usual. You are surely a valued member of this site. Keep up the good work my friend :-)
