door flyscreen

I can’t advise on your specific question about a 2007 Cheyenne, but there are a couple of ‘professional’ entrance-door-screen systems that might be retrofittable if that’s what you have in mind.

Entrance-door flyscreens complicate a motorhome’s design and may be difficult/impracticable to fit with some layouts and entrances. They are also vulnerable to damage - for instance, if an entrance-door carries a large waste-bin and is blown shut by a strong wind with the flyscreen closed, there’s every chance the bin will rip the flyscreen material.

Flyscreens as standard in motorhome entrances are relatively uncommon. My Rapido has one (as a factory option) but my previous motorhomes did not. Did your 2001 Auto-Trail have one?

The replies are valid as at that age flyscreens on doors were not a standard fitment. The point re windows etc is not really pertinent as it was assumed that when inside the door was closed and only windows and vents would be open.

However, if you do wish one they can be retro fitted and a cost of about £150 will get one for you. These come in cassette form and the whole thing just screws inside the door. In fact many supplied by the maker were indeed such items. Try the following if it helps:
