montie Posted March 18, 2016 Share Posted March 18, 2016 Hi I have a 2000 boxer, when i try and change the heater flow from face to windscreen etc nothing happens. I have checked the rotary switch and this is working and also turning the lever at the back of the switch and also the lever (via Cable)on the heater unit behind the radio. euroserv Posted March 18, 2016 Share Posted March 18, 2016 It sounds to me as if the cable has come off the mechanism on the heater box. You might be able to access it by removing the panel below the glove box if my memory serves me correctly. It's all very plastic back there and the hook that the cable fits into may have broken. They get very stiff and if you exert too much pressure on the control knob; it's almost inevitable. New air boxes are very expensive and very awkward to remove. If you do have it out, it would probably be worth changing the heater matrix at the same time. You won't want to do this twice! Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
