Gazelle
We are looking at replacing our swift gazelle, 2001, for a Bessacarr E560, 2011. We love our gazelle, but the main reasons for looking to change is the fixed bed vs lounge beds debate & to update the driving area so it's not so loud & draughty. We are looking at doing some long trips & think we will get 'fed up' of making up the bed every night. Any opinions on any of this gratefully received ?? habilis-abilis
We have a 2008 E560 our third motorhome and the best yet . A fixed bed did seem a bit OTT but having recently returned from a tour of France Spain Portugal and back. The ability to just have a really comfortable lie down without any effort or inconvenience to anyone else to me is worth the space taken.
coot
We have a Ace modena novella with a fixed bed. It is wonderful not to make the bed up every night. We used to have a caravan and it was always a chore to make up the bed each night. Also our first motorhome the bed needed making up each night. It is so nice just to go to bed with out the chore of making it up. Just like being at home.
bolero boy
we had a Bolero EK for a year and after our first long trip to France, decided we wanted a fixed bed van and went for a Volero 680fb, a twin of the Bessie 560. we loved the van, good use of space in 7m, decent lounge, kitchen, washroom and (for most) bed.....just check bed size if you are tall or large....we are slim and not overly tall so worked well. also decent storage under the bed.... we kept the van for nearly 6 years and toured for many miles round europe in it. i looked at the latest one when we were changing this time but far too blingy and more plasticky.... we also wanted a garage for our electric bikes so this ruled out the 680.....but we loved ours....
