snowie
Has anyone used "TrackMyTour" or a similar App' on iPad? Setting off for Puglia shortly and just Googled "Trip tracking App's" and got an interesting lead. I keep a diary, my wife does too, but the detailed route is always missing from both, and I've been looking for a way to record photo's that have GPS data; something like this could be what I'm looking for, always like to learn from others' experiences. regards alan b
RogerThat
I can't recommend an app but I can provide a heads up! Any iOS app which uses the built in GPS for route logging will need the iPhone/iPad plugged in to a charger as the battery will drain way too quickly otherwise. Just a heads up, you'll need a 12v 2A charger for an iPad, a standard 1A USB charger won't be enough ;-)
Den
I use Travel Timeline a part of Tripadvisor. Works great, any pictures you take can be attached.. Ideal to score a restaurant, a local beauty spot and places of interest. It doesn't effect your battery, although I use it on my iPhone attached to my iPad. It's free. It works well. Brian Kirby
If you're using a sat-nav to get there, check whether it stores route logs (sometimes called history). AFAIK most Garmins do, but don't have knowledge of others. If it does, no extra gizmo to get! Just download the log to view on PC.
