Tonydava
Hello Just failed an mot on plate lamp not working. Had a good look round changed fuse but nothing. Anyone suggest possible options there is only one fuse but both lamps appear to be fed separately. If any has a suggestion I would be grateful Cheers Tony Davies
sshortcircuit
It would help considerably if you could state what vehicle you are enquiring about. Have you tested the lamps?
747
On some vans there are 2 separate circuits for lights. Basically it is a left hand side circuit and a right hand side circuit. Maybe it applies to rear number plate lights as well. As has been said, more specific details are needed. Another option could be a bad earth on the faulty light. Keithl
If neither side works then suspect that the earth has failed. Try connecting earth side to chassis at a convenient point and see if that helps. Keith.
