David B
I was surprised there is no driver's air bag, let alone a passenger one, fitted to my 2005 A-S Nuevo, based on the Puegeot Boxer cab/chassis. Does anyone have any experience of having a driver's air bag retro-fitted and the likely cost?
Brian Kirby
I think you'll have to take the VIN (chassis number) to a Peugeot commercial service agent, and ask them what is possible and at what cost. I'd take somethng nice and soft to collapse back on, though!Until this year, standard van specs haven't included much of the equipment now taken for granted on cars. You almost had to pay extra for the wheels! To keep their starting prices low, nearly all the converters have tended to use a fairly basic specification as the starting point, but allow you to add such items as ABS, airbags, cab aircon, electric mirrors etc etc as optional extras. Of course, the price soon gets into the stratosphere as you tick the options boxes. However, for 2007, nearly all the base vehicles are coming with belts, bags and ABS, and a few with aircon as well.
