New Years Celebrations in the Motorhome?

Myself and some friends were looking to take our two motorhomes somewhere for a New Years party! Ideally a good site with good facilities and a major New Year party! No idea if this is possible or if any sites have a doo or not. Perhaps a site with a Hotel nearby that's having a Gala Dinner? Any help would be very much appreciated. Jimmy

Hi You might struggle to find a site as most are booked early but you could try Woodhall spa (lincolnshire). Bainland have a New years party or if you fancy something a bit more posh there is the golf hotel nearby. We spent 2003 there and had a really good night, facilities at bainland are very good and the people in Woodhall spa are very friendly, the golf hotel have a good traditional party.

Thanks for the replies. Right enough, we're struggling a bit to find a site that'll accommodate us. However I have found a site just North of Stirling called Blair Drummond Caravan Park which has room (Just). We would then tootle into Stirling for their Hogmanay Bash which includes Pipe Bands, Scottish Wheeech dancing and a feature set by Deacon Blue. £14 pp. We also fancied going to Chester but Chester Fairoaks is full. Any other sites in Chester? Any more info anybody? Jimmy

We've got some pitched booked at Stockport and Blackpool Caravan Club sites from Boxing Day to New Years Day but unfortunately more than likely won't be able to go due to Mum in law being seriously ill ... few months left etc if we're lucky. If anyone is interested in going to these sites send me a PM to let me know and I'll see if I can get the Caravan Club to transfer our bookings to you. The Caravan Club have been great - we've got 6 site night vouchers to use by the end of the year (expire 31/12/06) and they've agreed to exchange them for ones we can use next year, no doubt we'll be really ready for a break in a few months time.
