Wirehaired
Looking for advise on using the correct engine oil and coolant for the van,Fiat Ducato 120 multijet 09 reg,i am getting conflicting views, says in the handbook to use selenia WR 5W-40 oil and Paraflu UP coolant 50% water mix. Some people are saying it should not be a fully synthetic oil,but it says otherwise in the handbook. would a welcome any feedback. many thanks. Billggski
"Helpful" friends are the bane of forums, go with the handbook Try eurocarparts for the best price and some alternatives if you put your reg number in.

Uncle Bulgaria
Go with the recommendations in the handbook in terms of the oil specification if not necessarily the brand . It will costs a few more quid but I believe sometimes components like the exhaust gas catalytic converter or diesel particulate filter (if one is fitted) can be damaged by engine oil of the wrong specification. I think it can be a false economy to use materials of a lower specification be it oil or coolant.
Wirehaired
Yes I totally agree,i contacted the garage who serviced the van prior to my collection from the dealer,he said use oil as stated in the handbook,5w 40 fully synthetic, thats good enough for me. thanks for the feedback everyone.
