Robbo Posted September 4, 2016 Share Posted September 4, 2016 Perhaps not the best idea to put an LPG gas alarm in the confined space of a gas locker. The alarm will need to be powered by 12 volt so a small spark could cause an explosion. Mind you, hopefully the alarm would be triggered if it detected a small gas leak, providing you were of course in the van at the time. Furthermore, would you hear the audible sound from the alarm if it was located in the gas locked ? Most LPG gas alarms seem to be located in the kitchen area where a gas incident is more likely.
