Wifi on board?

I have just been to the boat show and talked to "Wifi on board" who tell me that their system will also work successfully on motorhomes. At £260, which includes a roaming sim card, it's not cheap, so has anyone fitted this system or similar, and do they work?

Sad really, but I really want to watch the Ryder cup when we head south next week, and will consider this system if it works!

Don't know what "Wifi on board" offer, but that sounds a bit dear. - depending on what is included with the sim I guess. If you buy a mifi device (often Huawei) you have in effect a mobile router- will allow connection of up to 5-10 devices. You can buy a mifi around £80 unlocked to a network, or generally a lot less if it's tied to a network.

The 3 network offers Feel at Home - allowing you to "roam" without charge in most of Europe- although there are conditions.

But using mobile data for TV can be pretty heavy on your data allowance - I think I used nearly 1GB an hour!

There are MH wifi specialists- e.g. Motorhomewifi - who offer alternative systems, e.g. to improve the chances of picking up free wifi sources.
