arthur49
I'm sick of dragging books around Europe ..... Bord Atlas, All The Aires etc. I've downloaded the free app http://camperstop.com/app/en.html to my phone and a cursory look through it gives me some hope that I can travel without guide books. The free version is online only but for £5 an offline version can be downloaded. Anybody any experience of this app either paid or freebie? Charles
I've got 3 apps now, seems like the expensive books are history, haven't used camperstop yet but 'Camping car Infos' is good and also 'Park4Night' There's also a Google Map for the UK that dispenses with Britstops. Edit: here it is. Just scroll down to larger map and Google Maps opens. http://wildcamping.moonfruit.com/pub-stopovers/4563550207

Mackyjane
We use "camper contact". Go to www.campercontact.com for a link to the app. We got the full version (about £5 a year) so you can use it offline. Absolutely brilliant.
arthur49
Thank you all. Will go for a couple of these apps. They're not expensive and must be better than books!

lennyhb
Camper Contact is probably the most respected app, £5/year or free to use online, for Germany Promobil works well & it's free, i-camping car is good for France but doesn't have all the Aires on it. If you pay subscription to Bordatlas you can download their POI's.
