Caddies104
Hi Found this comment on trip advisor I shall be travelling from the UK through France and Spain for a 2 week Moroccan holiday in early May with our Nissan X Trail. I've just found that the RAC, with whom we have car insurance, won't issue a green card for Morocco nor cover any form of car insurance outside the EU, and nor will the AA or any of the specialist car insurance brokers that we have tried. I note that we can purchase a green card at Tang Med when we arrive, but I'm unsure whether the companies offering this are open all hours when the ferries run, and I really want comprehensive insurance cover for the car if at all possible, and not just the third pary insurance implied with the green card. Do you know if any companies giving UK car insurance will cover Morocco with any sort of comprehensive policy, or whether it is possible to get comprehensive cover at the port from the insurance booths I've heard exist on arrival (which may be on the last ferry of the day)? Not sure if this helps

Not sure if it's legal to have 2 insurance for the the same vehicle! What do others do who travel there? Also health will not be covered by EHIC , as outside the EU. Not that I want to go there, OH would never go anyway! BUt interested to hear what others do PJay
nowtelse2do
This is probably the only insurance co. that may help ADAC. You will have to register with them, it's free. Dave https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ADAC

Bulletguy
sreve - 2016-11-30 7:48 PM hi, sorry for the late reply,my insurance is with axa through a broker called Scenic motorhome and caravan insurance specialists. I can't say i'm surprised. I've been with Scenic the past few years now for this very reason. Where most other companies are very restrictive over which countries they will issue green card, Scenic cover virtually all. It's also supplied completely free which is as it correctly should be, yet some companies make an 'administration' charge......thats psuedo lingo for "we have to make a phone call to the insurance to tell them the dates and country/s you require it for". *-)
