snowie
Assuming we can get on a ferry (maybe big assumption!!) we are planning some Vitamin D enhancement for a few weeks from mid Feb. Alentejo; Portubal, Evora, Setubal, Beja and Algarve areas. Any site recommendations? maybe one or two "aires" just in case, no "wild-camping" thanks. If we can get a ferry we'll go Portsmouth -Santander, drive quickly along to Santiago de Compostello? and then down the coast road to Lisbon area etc. Depending on weather we'll aim to drive back (7-10 days) to Dieppe 4 weeks later. Hopefully enough sites will be open and have vacancies! Any helpful suggestions welcome, regards alan b
yoko8pups
Weather can be great, you will probably get a few days rain at some time but a dry country needs it. This morning we are at Camping Alentejo between Evoramonte and Estremoz, a friendly campsite, clean and organised, price €9 a night for 2 peopleplus the electricity used,14C now at 8.48am. This is a great place for a bit of a wine tour, there are large and small vinyards with wine tastings, fabulous scenery, lots of castles and good food. This is a photo taken just now.
