bagginstim
Ey up Yorkshire campervaners! I've just acquired a 1997 VW transporter (leisuredrive conversion) and have a problem with a leak coming in one of the side windows somewhere but difficult to locate exactly where. I suspect the rubber seals are past their best. Anyone know of a reputable conversion specialist nr York, or just Yorkshire, that might re do the seals? marksrv6
I have a 1969 VW T2 which had the same problem so I bought some SIKAFLEX and sealed round them and now it bone dry. If you don't want to do it yourself take it to a windscreen company and they will do it for you. You tuck the nozzle into the rubber seal so you don't actually see any of the sealant when its complete. A word of caution, you may have some rot behind the seals so trying to replace the seals may turn into a bigger job. Tip: make sure it warm when you use it because it flows better.
